Beta notes are fun (I mean that both sincerely and sarcastically...) in that they force you to rethink things you've already written.

And then you fix one thing and realize you need to fix something else, and...

But finally, finally, I figured out the solution to a major problem I was having: a problem so severe that it's held up The Last Tin Soldier for far longer than I wanted it to.

As it so happened, it was an out I had already given myself and didn't realize it.
